Where are you going to live when you wear your body out? I first noticed this on a billboard about 10 years ago and it still remains there today. I wanted to write about this and take the approach of fast forwarding our lives10 to 15 years.
Take your current condition now. Maybe you are in great shape, maybe you are new to fitness or maybe your health is failing you? It is truely up to you to either maintain our current fitness shape or improve our health to avoid the billboard slogan ” where are you going to live when you wear your body out?”. Remember is nothing is forever and take nothing for granted. I personally found this out to be true.
Are you truely living your life to its fullest potential or are you just living life? Are you tired of being tired? What are you going to do to change? Do you have unhealthy habits that are shortening your lifespan? If you are currently taking medications for your failing health that can be controlled by living a healthier lifestyle imagine 10-15 years from now? Maybe those medications are doubled or tripled by then? What if you have gained 10 pounds in the last year or have had to buy larger sizes this year? Imagine in 10-15 years if you do nothing now? The time will never be right, start now. The first 2 weeks will be a challenge but weeks 3 and 4 will be a breeze!
My fitness challenge to you is start with baby steps. Take one day at a time. It starts every day by waking up and tying your shoes! If you fail start over and try again. Your fitness and health goals are not 4 weeks or 12 weeks but a lifetime. Start creating new healthy habits and stick to them for 21 days. It takes 21 days in order for your brain to form new neuro pathways. Consistency is the key to fitness and when approaching your fitness remember that even the best have off days! The ones that are successful do not give up but keep on fighting to the end!
Train smart and expect success!
