Fat Burning Breakfast Recipes

Protein is an essential nutrient to guarantee major fat burning.  Adding protein at breakfast is a great way to start your day off with AMAZING energy by stabilizing those blood sugars!!  A common question is how much protein should we consume at the core 3 meals?  This question has many different answers…but the latest science is showing that 20 grams for each of the main meals is very essential to building lean muscle tissue even for a male.  So here are a few of my favorite breakfast combinations for people on the run:) 

 

Protein Oatmeal in 2 minutes

  • 1/4 cup Old Fashioned Oatmeal
  • 1 scoop of Chocolate Whey Protein Powder
  • 1tbsp of  Barlean’s Omega 3-6-9
  • 1/4 cup Wild Blue Berries (Frozen)

Directions:

Really easy add water to your oatmeal

Microwave:  1 min 15 seconds ( times might vary due to microwave power)

Mix in 1 scoop of whey protein powder

Mix in 1 tbsp of Barlean’s Omega 3-6-9

Mix in 1/4 cup of frozen Wild Blue Berries (Frozen)

 

Greek Heaven in 1 minute or less

This is one of my favorite when I am time crunched:

  • One 5.3 oz Okios or Fage 0% Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp of Ground Almond Butter
  • 1/2 scoop of Chocolate Whey Protein Powder
  • 1 tbsp of Agave Nectar

Directions: 

Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl and you are done!!!  Tastes like cream cheese frosting:)

 

 

Egg McMuffin:

  • 1 Ezekial English Muffin (7 sprouted grains)
  • 3 sprays of  spray butter
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 slice of Canadian or Turkey Bacon

Directions are super easy!

  • Toast Ezekial English Muffin
  • Microwave egg whites for 2 minutes 30 seconds (time varies on microwave power)
  • Microwave Canadian or Turkey Bacon  1 minute 15 seconds (time varies on microwave power)
  • Spray English Muffin with spray  butter
  • Combine all of the ingredients ( done)

Egg White Omelet:

  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 oz of cottage cheese ( 1%)
  • 1/4tsp of onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper
  • pinch of sea salt

Directions:

Mix all ingredients and place in non stick pan for 3 minutes

 

Mocha Ice Blast:

This recipe is super easy to kickstart your day!!!

  • 1 scoop of your favorite Whey Protein Powder  (Vanilla is a great choice )
  • 8-10 oz of Organic Skim Milk or water
  • 1 packet of Instant Coffee or 1 tsp instant coffee
  • 3 ice cubes or crushed ice
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp of brandy extract
  • 1/4 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp of nutmeg

Directions:

On the go you can combine all of these ingredients in a shaker bottle and drink on the run or you can blend all of these in a blender for 30 seconds.

Jingle Bell Shake:

  • 1 scoop of Chocolate Whey Protein Powder
  • 3/4 cup of cold water
  • 1/2 tsp. of chocolate extract
  • 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
  • 5 ice cubes

Directions:

Blend all ingredient in a shaker bottle or blender for 30 seconds.

 

Protein Egg Nog Latte’

Instead of the Egg Nog latte from Star Bucks try this low calorie substitute :)

  • 1 scoop of Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
  • 1 packet of Stevia sweetener
  • 6 oz of water
  • 3 ice cubes
  • 1 tsp of rum extract
  • 1 tsp of nutmeg
  • 1 packet of instant coffee or 1 tbsp of instant coffee
