I’m a wife, mother of three, and grandmother, and I’ve worked as a phlebotomist for 30 years with Lincoln General West. I’ve had over a 20 year history of back pain that was sometimes so severe I couldn’t even get out of bed. When I went to an orthopedic doctor, he told me the cushioning between my vertebrae was wearing down. He said I needed to start exercising especially to develop my stomach muscles so that my lower back didn’t have to do all the work.
When I met Steve Auxier at Gold’s Gym, I had already begun exercising. Steve started training me over 10 years ago. He’s a fantastic person who knows fitness. He knows just what I need — the right type of exercise for my age and my condition to keep my muscles toned and my bones strong. His routine keeps me from getting bored, keeps me safe, and he’s always varying it to keep my body challenged in new ways.
My workout consists of about 40 minutes of weight lifting and about 45 minutes on the stair-stepper or treadmill. These days I have little back pain. I know how to take care of myself. I’m committed to exercise to keep it that way and Steve with his personable approach keeps me on track.
