Top 15 Reasons Why Fad Diet Won’t Work

If it sounds to good to be true…then you want to stay clear of nutrition programs that promise this message! I am not a fan of quick fix fad weight loss schemes that are not in the consumers best interest! Let me share 15 reasons why to stay clear of these fad diet plans.

Starting Body Weight=180lbs Starting Body Fat=27%

Stage 1 Severe Restiction Of Calories

Stage 2 Internal mechanisms recognize the reduction of food intake and perceive the diet as starvation (hunger begins)

Stage 3. The body adapts to the calorie reduction by “lightening the load” and shedding its muscle tissue. Since muscle is metabolically active, the less muscle you have, the less food your body needs.

Stage 4 As muscle tissue is lost, the body is able to store fat more efficiently (hunger continues to increase).

Stage 5 Due to the loss of muscle tissue, the dieter becomes tired and lethargic, resulting in a reduced level of physical activity.

Stage 6 The immobility of muscle causes them to atrophy, resulting in an even greater loss of muscle tissue.

Stage 7 Since fat is only burned in muscle tissue, the dieter begins to store fat at an accelerated rate.

Stage 8 Weight loss begins to stabilize

Stage 9 One last attempt to reach desire weight by lowering calories further

Stage 10 The dieter does achieve desired weight

Stage 11 Body Weight 160lbs Body Fat 25%Stage 12 The dieter becomes frustrated with the calorie restrictions and is uncontrollable

Stage 13 The dieter begins to crave and consume large amounts of sugary..fatty foods

Stage 14 Since the dieter has a low metabolic rate due to muscle loss and increase in calories is immediately stored as fat

Stage 15 Within time the body weight and body fat levels elevate and exceed the beginning statistics.

Within The First Year After The Diet Ends
